VOICEMEETING review
VOICEMEETING’s website must be one of the least aesthetically pleasing sites on the web. On first look, the design is archaic and the content dull, however on the upside, it’s impossible to argue the site isn’t easy to use. There is the option to download a manual, though it would be preferable to simply read that information on another tab – not that there is much to understand.
The service is evidently designed for UK users as there are no geographic numbers for people from other countries to dial in with – bar a generic 0870 number. The conference call itself costs a standard 5p per minute, although we did suffer call breaks and on more than one occasion our call was dropped completely. When the call was allowed to flow the quality was distinctly average.
VOICEMEETING’s customer service uses a premium number which is disappointing; nevertheless, they picked up very quickly and were very helpful.
There are little or no extra features, except for the fact it is possible to record your conference call. It may have been nice to choose which parties pay for their calls and which don’t, but as is apparent across the entire service – it’s no frills all the way.
We’d like to compare VOICEMEETING to an Easyjet of the conference call world; but that we feel, might be doing Easyjet an injustice – Quite disappointing all-round.
