Save on Conferences Review

SaveOnConferences offers one main service and tries its best to be simple, however, unfortunately it somewhat fails in its attempt.

The website is basic and not very welcoming; you are greeted with a form on the homepage with no effort being made to guide you through the registration process. Not only is the form off putting, but it also makes the whole thing look complicated. The fact that you must fill out an address and time zone is ridiculous! For people who just want to conference call the less to fill out the better. Access Numbers are limited to just 8 countries and are located at the bottom of the page which isn’t clear. It would be a fair assumption to say that I think the usability of this site has nothing to be desired.

The service itself is woeful and offers features such as roll call, conference lock down, no invoicing and custom greetings. All such services are standard from other providers and costs of 5p per minute (ex VAT) are by no means the cheapest.

Now onto something positive, a neat little tool which is unique from all the other companies is the savings calculator You simply enter the number of participants, length of call and number of conferences per month and the costs are calculated and compared to BT MeetME, so you can clearly see the saving you’ll be making. It begs the question “why is it only compared to BT MeetME?” – my guess is because it’s the only one it’s cheaper than.
