GoToMeeting Review
Simple yet powerful, concise and versatile, GoToMeeting is a web conferencing service that provides a minimal functionality without compromising on quality or performance, offering multi-browser and multi-platform support for virtually all web-capable machines.
GoToMeeting is an intuitive tool for presenters, yet it still manages to be a simple, one-click service for attendees. If you’re a presenter, you can create meetings and demos as you go, and you can share your screen sales calls and product demonstrations while still not eating up your bandwidth. Similarly, you and your attendees can participate in interactive whiteboard sessions and web/teleconferences via voice and chat, and users can integrate the service with Microsoft Office.
Advanced recording and playback tools mean that presentations can be viewed on- or offline after the meeting, and thus all of the meeting’s content can be referred to at any time.
Real-time functionality remains one of GoToMeeting’s greatest strengths. For web conferencing to truly be collaborative and interactive, latency and delay issues need to be kept in check. The low bandwidth consumption and data compression means that GoToMeeting provides rapid screen sharing and demonstrations without any delay interference, irrespective of platform or browser.
And if you want to hand your meeting over to multiple presenters throughout, the “change presenter” feature allows you to do this, which happily reduces the meeting planning time and allows for ad hoc changes.
GoToMeeting’s flat-rate pricing makes for a transparent service, with monthly and annual plans available both allowing the inclusion of up to 15 attendees per meeting and no limit to the amount of meetings users can hold.
In terms of support, GoToMeeting provides training videos, live training, PDF guides, a Freephone line and live chat. Click here to go to their site.
