BT Conferencing Review
The BT Conferencing website is easy to navigate, the look and feel is good and overall usability is great. The only problem with the BT site is that it contains a lot of different services which leave you feeling confused if all you want to do is start conference calling. There is nowhere on the site which allows you to input your email address, get a PIN and start a conference call.
The overall feel is that it’s very much directed to larger business. If you wish to sign up to a service you must first fill out a contact form and give your credit card details. This can be of very off putting to most.
That being said BT Conferencing does offer some cool features and benefits:
Dedicated Account Manager to help you look after and manage your account.
Support on any conference in progress if you require assistance.
Recording, which you have to pay for unfortunately
View your online billing, where you can check how much a conference will cost 24 hours after the conference.
The call quality of the conference calls is excellent. Web conferencing is available through Microsoft Live Meeting and Cisco Webex and are additional costs to the overall package.
With BT MeetMe each participant on the conference will pay 4.3p per minute plus VAT, the chair person will also have to pay 3p-4p per minute for each line that joins the call. That sounds like a lot compared to other providers.
All things considered, conferencing with BT is very expensive but you do get a good service which is tailored for the larger companies who can afford it.
